Introducing Sarah Stealey: An Inside View of ICMI

I hope everyone is enjoying the Olympics as much as I am.

It is amazing to me to see how many communities, created by heritage and pride, come together to support and compete in this international affair. The teams are the most enjoyable to watch as they are made up of the best athletes from each country. These athletes must be experienced and at the top of their game in order to bring home the gold for their country.

Speaking of teams, we have added a new team member who not only has earned a "gold medal" in the contact center industry, but who also has the experience to lead other community members towards achieving customer service excellence. I’d like to welcome Sarah Stealey to the ICMI Community team as our Editor at Large. Read official press release.

I’m so excited to have Sarah as a member of Team ICMI; she will be leading the evolution of ICMI’s content strategy to ensure that ICMI continues to deliver high-quality content on topics you request, when you request them. As a Customer Experience and Contact Center Operations executive with over 17 years of experience, Sarah is definitely an Olympic competitor in our community! In 2011, her Support team [at iContact] was awarded the ICMI "Global Call Center of the Year" for Small to Medium-Sized Centers. She has also had a seat on the ICMI conference advisory board since October 2011, and has presented at Dreamforce 2011 and ACCE 2012.

I urge all of you to connect with Sarah by commenting below; both Sarah and I will be working closely together - and with each of you - to better meet your needs as a contact center professional.

Does your contact center have a policy regarding allowing agents who wish to apply for internal company positions outside the contact center?

No, we don’t have a formal policy
Yes, agents must work in the contact center for at least 1 year before applying for other positions
Yes, agents must work in the contact center for at least 6 months before applying for other positions
