Be Reachable--You Are Not Bill Murray

If you give someone your contact information – an email, a phone number, a business card – and he or she contacts you:

  • Reply to the email
  • Answer the phone call
  • Return the text
  • Whatever the contact form is, have the courtesy to reply back within 24 hours

I know we are inundated daily with messages from dozens of sources. Sometimes it is hard to answer everything within 24 or even 48 hours. However, if you have encouraged someone to get in touch with you, then have the courtesy to reply and let him or her know you got the message.

Why the Bill Murray mention? Murray does not have an agent or a manager, only an 800 number. Hysterical. Read more here from USA Today.
