ICMI Symposium Health and Safety Policy

Your Safety is Our Top Concern

COVID-19 has changed many aspects of our world, and the way we do business. Our attendees’ health and well-being are our #1 priority and we will do everything in our power to keep you safe.

Rest assured that we are continuously monitoring what the Centers for Disease Control, World Health Organization, and US Department of State have recommended and are following their advice closely. We are also working in lock step with the host venue and local guidelines to ensure your experience onsite is an optimal one. Attendee health protocols:

While onsite, please:

  • No hand-shaking.
  • Wash your hands regularly.
  • If anyone feels unwell, please do not attend.
  • If attendees arrive in Orlando for the event not feeling well, please see a healthcare professional immediately.

We encourage all attendees to follow these CDC Best Practices for everyday preventive actions to help prevent the spread of illness:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Stay in your hotel or at home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
