Follow Up Calls to Agent's Extension

How do you handle agents giving out their extension for follow-up calls? What is the standard? We are a small center where there are three order management systems. If the order is not completed, agents give out their private line for customers to call back. The problem comes up when they put an existing call on hold to answer the private line. -- Kellie Malo, Christian Science Publishing Society
