Four Industry Veterans Appointed to AP Telecom’s Advisory Board

AP Telecom has appointed industry veterans John Hibbard, Dr. Y. Niiro, Mark Katz and Mike Rieger to the company’s executive advisory board. Launched in Q1 2011, AP Telecom has experienced a steady growth in its worldwide clientele. The addition of these advisory board members will help the company further develop and strengthen its presence in the market.
John Hibbard, offers more than 40 years of experience in the telecom industry and an extensive background in engineering, technical and business operations, technical and network planning, and business planning and development. Hibbard is currently Chairman of the Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC) in Hawaii as well as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hibbard Consulting Pty Ltd., a firm specializing in international telecommunications. Dr. Y. Niiro, has carried out pioneering research and development of undersea fiber optic systems at KDD R&D Laboratories in Japan. Niiro also provided oversight of the first Trans Pacific optical fiber submarine cable. He has since planned and managed many submarine systems in Asia/Pacific. Dr. Niiro established KDD-Submarine Cable Systems Co. Ltd. Niiro has also served as President of Tyco Telecommunications Japan. Mark Katz is currently the CEO of Global Telecom Solutions and has held that position since June 2009. At Global Telecom, Katz oversees strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions. Michael Rieger is the current Vice President of Sales at TE Connectivity – SubCom. Rieger manages the company's Sales and Sales Operations organizations. Prior to joining TE Connectivity, Mr. Rieger held the position of Solutions Executive at IBM where he managed the Network Management Solutions business for IBM's Telecommunications and Media Business Unit. Rieger has also held the positions of Senior Software Engineer for Bellcore (now Telcordia) and Analyst for Merrill Lynch Capital Markets.

Qsent Founder Becomes Chief Operating Officer

Organix, Inc. has hired Kevin Anderson to its management team in the role of Chief Operating Officer. Anderson’s primary role will be focused on expanding Organix’s RePeet, peat moss alternative product, on a national scale. Anderson has previously worked for Norwest Financial and Metro One Telecommunications, which became the largest independent provider of Enhanced Directory Assistance to the wireless industry. Anderson also cofounded Qsent, Inc., an online directory search firm providing services for Fortune 1000 companies. Since his departure from Qsent in 2006, Anderson has provided consulting services for new startups and early stage companies.

Razorfish Executive Becomes VP at Accordant Media

Accordant Media, an independent media-buying and optimization company, has appointed Craig Schinn as Vice President, Reporting and Analytics. Schinn will oversee the company’s campaign insights and data visualization and will also focus on accelerating the adoption of Audience Optics, its marketing data management platform known. Schinn has more than 11 years of digital marketing and analytics experience, including spanned RTB, search marketing, CRM and Web site optimization. At Razorfish, Schinn helped pioneer several techniques for measuring the offline impact of online advertising to help advertisers optimize media against real-world interactions. Schinn worked on major client assignments including Staples, Verizon, Starwood Hotels and Capital One. Prior to Razorfish, Schinn was an eCRM consultant at Accenture.
