Tips for Celebrating
If this year's Customer Service Week is your first rodeo (we've all had one, and our backsides are still sore to this day), no worries. Here's some tried and true tips and advice to make your first Customer Service Week a successful one. If you're an old hand, you might find something here to keep it fresh. You'll find new tips and tricks in the Celebrate CSW Blog in the days leading up to Customer Service Week.
-
Create a festive environment: Decorate your office with lots of celebratory things. Whether it be banners, streamers, balloons, or posters… make sure your call center is decked out!
-
Host parties throughout the week: Parties are a great way to show your agents that you appreciate their hard work. Begin the week with a pancake breakfast, and end the week by having a pizza party!
-
Have theme days: Call centers often celebrate with a different theme each day of the week. Take the themes you chose, and include them in your decorations, food, activities and costumes. Here are some theme ideas:
- Pajama-rama Day
- Sports Day
- Hat Day
- Company Spirit Day
- Christmas in October Day
- Fiesta Day
- Patriotic Day
- A Night at the Oscars
-
Toot your horn: Customer Service week is a great time to inform other departments of the superior work your call center does. Share statistics on number of calls handled in a typical week, survey results, average hold time, etc.
-
Customer service training: Take this opportunity to arrange educational sessions in your department. Join us for our complimentary webinars, attend ICMI's complimentary on-demand virtual classroom courses (free Monday, Oct. 1st and Friday Oct. 5th), facilitate hands-on exercises or offer specialized training instruction for your team. Keep it light and fun, yet informative to keep your agents engaged.
-
Reward your agents: Don’t forget to thank your agents for their hard work they do. Present Certificates of Appreciation to your rock stars or small gifts to show your gratitude.
-
Have Fun!: Don’t forget that this week is about celebrating your call center’s roll in customers service. Be sure to create games and contests to build camaraderie, morale and teamwork in your department. Even if your agents need to remain on the phones, print out word games they can do at their desk!
